Welcome to East Worlington Parish Council website
We are a Parish Council of seven Councillors, representing a parish population of approximately 220 people living in 105 dwellings. Our parish is in a rural isolated location to the southern boundaries of North Devon. The area is mainly farming with two hamlets, East and West Worlington having 13 and 15 dwellings respectively. Each hamlet has its own church and there is a parish hall and Primary School in East Worlington which serves the whole parish community and beyond.

Meetings are held every other month in the Parish Hall, East Worlington, and usually start at 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Notice of extra ordinary meetings will be placed on this website, on the notice board outside the hall and advertised through the Worlington Post.

Parish Councils have a variety of powers and duties, all of which impact directly on the community. One of them is Planning. Parish Councils must be notified of any planning applications for the area. Any comments submitted to the planning authority by the Parish Council must be taken into account.
